Surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, scuba diving… Thanks to its exceptional conditions and its two sea coasts, Morocco is the perfect destination for all lovers of water sports.
Country of two water elements.
More than 3,500 km of coastline on two different coasts – the long Atlantic coastline in the west and the wide Mediterranean coastline in the north… Perfect air and wind conditions everywhere.
Surfing or windsurfing
If you prefer surfing or windsurfing, head to the long sandy beaches of Oualidia, Dar Bouazza, Taghazout, Agadir or Essaouira, the city where many international competitions take place. North of Safi is Sidi Bouzid, a world-class surfing point break. Its correct, fast and powerful wave is considered one of the ten best in the world (maximum height of 4 m with a swell that can reach 2 m)
If kitesurfing is your thing, head further south to the sheltered Dakhla Bay. With its beautiful and long right-hand wave, the Phoom Labuir spot is second only to Hawaii in the opinion of surfers. Dakhla, like Tamuda Bay to the north, is also a great place for snorkeling. Many resorts offer jet skiing. As for weather conditions, from the end of March to mid-September, the trade wind blows on the coast. Always mild temperature conditions allow you to engage in water sports throughout the year. Add here a wide variety of coasts, water, the temperature of which even in the dead of winter does not drop below 18°C, and you get a real paradise for water sports enthusiasts.
