Studying at Ritsumeikan APU (Asia Pacific University) will give you an experience out of the ordinary. You will gain a wide international and Japanese network, as well as a unique insight into Japanese culture, language and social conditions.

Why study at Ritsumeikan APU?

Study at Ritsumeikan APUAPU is an international university, where almost half of the students are international students from all over the world. The university is located in Beppu, which provides a unique opportunity to learn more about Japanese culture. The University facilitates international and Japanese students learning each other's language. Teaching takes place in larger lectures and in smaller classes. Bachelor's degrees at APU are offered in either English or Japanese, and international students study Japanese at the beginning of their studies and can choose Japanese teaching if they want to. APU works actively with business and there are good opportunities for jobs in Japan after completing their studies. APU offers scholarships to international students with a 30-100% reduction in tuition fees.

Searching for Ritsumeikan APU

The application deadlines for Ritsumeikan APU are in November for studies with start-up in April, while for start-ups in September the application deadline is in early May. Please contact us for more accurate information on the dates.

Ritsumeikan APU requires that you have at least general study skills for admission to bachelor's degree. Diplomas / documentation of general study competence can be forwarded, if you complete this closer study start. In general, Ritsumeikan APU requires an average grade point average for admission, but be aware that admission requirements may vary from study to study.

Applicants must through a telephone interview in the application process.

For undergraduate studies, the grade 4 or better is required in English from high school (which can be a maximum of 5 years old), attach a reference to English language skills, or take an English language test: TOEFL or IELTS. Applicants for Master's programs must normally take an English language test: TOEFL or IELTS.

What can I study at Ritsumeikan APU?

Ritsumeikan APU offers undergraduate and master's degree programs at the College of International Management (APM) and the College of Asia-Pacific Studies (APS). At the bachelor level you can apply for a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or a Bachelor of Social Studies (BSocSc). At master level, Ritsumeikan offers APU bl. a. Master of Business Administration. It is also possible to apply for sub-studies 1-2 semesters (study abroad).

Ritsumeikan APU is the only university in Japan that offers bachelor-level teaching in English or Japanese. Therefore, there is no requirement for Japanese language skills before beginning your studies in Japan. At the master's level, the teaching is in English.

The tuition fee at CSUMB varies by field of study and level of education. Below are suggested prices:
