History Tour Lombardy

Since 1949 , the Madonna del Ghisallo official patron saint of cyclists. This church has since become a pilgrimage site for many bikers, cyclists and cycling fans. Rest Vergano the last major climb this Italian classic is Vila Vergano. this ascent is 3.3 km long with an average gradient of 7.4 percent. the steepest parts is 15 per cent. on top of this climb, riders still have about 10 kilometers to the finish.

In 2013, the Tour of Lombardy was the second year in a row won by Spaniard Joaquim Rodriguez. He arrived solo on the finish line, before his compatriot Valverde and the Pole Rafal Majka.
