9 Weeks of Pregnancy

In its short life, your baby has grown by leaps and bounds, and arriving at the nine weeks of pregnancy reaches an important goal: your little has all of their vital organs.
The third month of pregnancy is also the end of the toughest stage, at least in terms of the first symptoms of pregnancy.

  • Your baby measures: between 0.9 and 1.2 inches (between 22 and 30 mm)
  • More or less of the size: a prune

Your baby

All your baby’s vital organs have initiated its process of formation, and from now on should mature to become operational when it is born.
If you could see it, notaries your little a bit disproportionate: his head is bigger than the rest of your body. This is normal and is due to the rapid development of the brain and head during the first weeks. You would also see a complete with nose profile, although now it is nothing more than a small lump.
These are other advances in the development of your little to meet nine weeks of pregnancy:

  • The follicles from which will leave your hair are formed.
  • They begin to form the internal reproductive organs.
  • Muscles begin their training, and it will soon begin to use them.
  • Their elbows and toes are most evident.
  • The heart begins to divide into four chambers or cardiac Chambers.

Your body

Even if your belly is not yet evident, your waist Yes reveals the changes in your body. This is the first sign of weight gain in pregnancy.
During the nine months of pregnancy, you can earn between 25 and 35 pounds, but this does not mean that your physical condition must suffer the consequences.
As you don’t have a high risk pregnancy or your doctor not contraindicated it, exercises in pregnancy are allowed and even recommended. In fact, the centers for Disease Control and prevention (CDC for its acronym in English) recommend that you make an aerobic activity of moderate intensity 150 minutes a week.
If you are a regular athlete, you can continue with your routines provided you take basic precautions to avoid falls and front shocks, excessive heat and lift heavy objects, among others.
The most recommended exercises for pregnant women are walking, yoga, Pilates, swimming and the stationary bicycle. Find all the details about the exercises allowed during pregnancy, precautions and limitations on Yoga in pregnancy and I do pregnancy exercises?.

Prenatal care

During the third month of pregnancy your doctor may offer you a test called chorionic biopsy or analysis of chorionic villus sampling. The goal is to diagnose genetic abnormalities, such as Down syndrome and Tay-Sachs disease. The test is optional and is recommended only if there are genetic factors that worry you, because it involves a libero risk of miscarriage (1%). The procedure is similar to an amniocentesis.
